Family Health Exercise (FHE) and Community-Based Doctor-Run Clinic (CB-DRC) are core Community Medicine field activities that provide MBBS students with hands-on experience in family-centered and community-oriented healthcare. Through FHE, students assess socio-demographic profile, environmental conditions, socio-economic and nutritional status of families, and identify disease requiring care. CB-DRC complements this by delivering primary healthcare services at the community level, where students manage DRC cases based on the natural history of disease and levels of prevention. Together, FHE and CB-DRC strengthen competencies in community diagnosis, preventive and promotive care, clinical skills, and holistic public health practice.
